The girls here at LGS are excited about the change in the season and thusly we are celebrating with a “Hello Fall” blog hop and giving away lots of daily prizes and a grand prize of a $25.00 gift voucher to Creative Embellishments.  To be eligible win any of our hop prizes you will need to visit each designer’s blog, leave some love on each of our design team’s blog’s and follow their blogs. Each member of the DT will be sharing a Fall themed project for your inspiration.  To find out how to win our Grand Prize as well as lots of other giveaways, make sure you visit the LGS blog!

For your Fall inspiration I have created a Project Life spread for this May (which is our last month of Autumn here in New Zealand) for the blog hop:

Scrap Stash Kit Club is an awesome way to use up scraps!  Our darling baby girl was only 3 weeks old on Mother's Day, and we had her dedicated at Church, then out for lunch in Arrowtown.  Sam (aged 7) drew the cutest Minecraft pictures and left them lying around the house, so of course I had to include them!

I used my September Scrap Stash Kit Club (Mr Fox), which worked really well with the Autumn colour scheme of reds and oranges paired with neutrals.

I'm offering a randomly drawn RAK to one lucky Australian or New Zealand blog hopper, so make sure you leave a comment (including where you are from) and follow my blog to be in to win!

Next up on the hop is the lovely and very talented Wendi.

Line up is:

Thanks for hopping!

Pretty & Sweet (Stuck?! Sketches)

Hello again!  Well I've been scrapping a lot lately, but not sharing.  Today I'm playing along with the second challenge for the month over at Stuck?! Sketches, and I love it there because Laura creates the most gorgeous sketches that always suit my style.

I love that this sketch incorporated multi photos and although I have three photos to tell this story, I decided to save one for another layout, and instead added that beautiful Crate Paper Notes & Things 4 x 6 card.  This layout is about my two girls, and is also made with my August Hip Kit (which I'm coming to the end of now).  The journalling tells about how Azaria loves to hold Brielle for photos, but I have to be quick as the time period that she wants to hold her only lasts for about a minute!

And some close ups:

I love that 4 x 6 card, the details on it are beautiful and it worked so well for my title.  Those thickers have to be one of my favourite ever, as I love that shade of gold!

Here is the sketch which I rotated to the right.

One Month (Artfull Crafts)

Hello!  Its my turn over at the Artfull Crafts blog, and today I'm sharing a layout I made with the beautiful Sweet Routine collection by Websters Pages.  When I started planning Brielle's monthly album I decided I wanted to use one collection, to keep the album cohesive.  Sweet Routine isn't a baby collection, but I think it is perfect for monthly baby layouts as it has gorgeous papers, and the chipboard and stickers are awesome for recording milestones.

Some close ups.  The little onsie paper clip is from the Hello World collection, and the yoyo thickers are by Dear Lizzy.

Chipboard and paper strips.

I used Heidi Swapp Gold Colourshine.

I made this layout based on a sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches, and I'm linking it up.

You can purchase the Sweet Routine collection in the online shop here.  If you're wanting an actual baby collection, Websters Pages also have the Hello World line, and I've included a couple of pieces in my album kit, including that onesie transparency.  You can purchase it here.

Hugs (Lets Get Sketchy)

Hi all!  Today is our midweek reveal over at Lets Get Sketchy.  I made this layout several weeks ago with my August Hip kit.  Its a lovely photo of my Dad holding Brielle when he was visiting for Azaria's 5th birthday.

I loved the layers in the sketch (by the very talented Jenessa Franco), and I often scrap with a sketch when I start a new kit as it makes me cut into the paper.  The first cut is often the hardest!!  I really struggled to get a decent photo of this layout, I think its the overcast sky and rain that we're having.

A couple of close ups. This one shows layering with paper, Crate Paper Notes & Things Ephemera a Shimelle cork sticker, and some enamel dots (which I added to my kit from Twine & Ink).

I love the gold that is in this months kit, its more a silvery gold than yellow, and is so beautiful.

And here is the fun sketch:

Now I just have to share this sweet photo that I took of my girls on Saturday night.  Brielle is now 5 months old, and Azaria loves to have a cuddle before bed.

Make sure you play along!  Thanks for looking.

Scrapstuffz September Reveal

Hello, it's my turn for reveal over at Scrapstuffz "Inspired By" Challenge blog!  This month we have changed things up and have created two projects from two inspiration photos.

My first layout is inspired by the school supplies photo, and of course I had to scrapbook photos of Azaria on her first day of school, which was 30 June 2014, the day after she turned 5.  The photos are quite emotional and I wasn't able to get the typical smiling first day photo because she wasn't very happy!  She ended up having an awesome day.

I used my August Hip Kit, and scraped the three photos in a central grid.  I used some roughly applied gesso, and layered some of the Crate Paper Notes & Things ephemera under the papers layers under my photos.

And here is the first inspiration photo:

I also used my Hip Kit for my second layout, and I was inspired by the position of the ferris wheel on the left side of the photo, which reminded me of a starburst.  These photos are of my eldest daughter on her final school visit the week before she started school, and she insisted on wearing her uniform.  I wanted her to save it for her first day, but I'm so glad now because I was able to take these photos at home before she went to school.

I loved all the words on the text paper, and I love how it looks next to the starburst.  The craft 3 x 4 card "In my Heart" was the perfect sentiment for how I felt seeing her in her uniform!

Here is the second inspiration photo:

Unshared Layouts from my July Hip Kit

Hello!  These are the last of my July Hip Kit layouts that I haven't shared until now (they are not Design Team assignments).  I have one last layout I created for Lets Get Sketchy coming up in mid September.

This first page is a layout about Sam and his bike.  I used lots of scraps on this one.  Sometimes its almost easier to create a layout when all you have left are scraps.

And then this is the very last layout I could make, literally from the very last scraps of paper.  Its a photo of my parents with my kids, and documents the effort it took to get the older two to smile!  As you can see we weren't successful with Azaria!

I'm so excited about my August Hip Kit as it has papers and embellishments from Shimelle's first collection with American Crafts!

Thanks for looking!

More August Scrap Stash Kit Club Layouts

Hello!  I'll be honest, I thought I'd struggle with putting together my own kit as I've been so spoilt creating with kits that other people have expertly put together.  When I first pulled my kit from my stash I just grabbed everything blue and yellow that I could find.  I didn't think about tones or style.  Then when I went to create my first layout I struggled so much that I had to remove some of the papers so I could focus.  The first layout was the hardest, then it all started to flow.  Playing along with some sketches definitely helped!  I made a total of 6 layouts!

Here are two more layouts that I haven't shared yet.  The first one is about a tiny Olaf snowman that Azaria and I made back in May.  He was really hard to make as the snow wasn't powder anymore, and it was hilarious as after it all melted there was a tiny pile of sticks and buttons!  This page features a really old My Minds Eye paper, Amy Tangerine cut aparts, and some Glitz tape.

The second layout is another photo of our family bike ride/walk during the July school holidays.  Shaun took this photo and I love it!  I used up a another really old paper for the background (basic Grey I think), We Are Memory Keepers Inked Rose 6 x 6 paper, old My Minds Eye brads, Crate Paper stickers, and a Basic Grey Highline Snippets card.

Thanks for looking!  Have a blessed day.

Joy in the Journey (Lets Get Sketchy)

Its officially Spring here in New Zealand! Yay!!  We've actually had a really mild Winter, with most of the snow landing on my kids school skiing days, resulting in cancelling their lessons.  Luckily they get three make-up days this month.

Now onto the first reveal for September over at Lets Get Sketchy.  The week we had a sketch from our awesome leader Brenshevia.  I used my Scrap Stash Kit Club Kit (which you can learn more about here).  These photos were taken in July on our walk/bike ride next to the Arrow River in Arrowtown.  It was my first official exercise since having Brielle, and felt amazing!

I mixed My Minds Eye, Maggie Holmes and Dear Lizzy on this one!

And here is the awesome sketch.

We love looking at what you make, so come and play along!
