Inspired by Ashli Oliver

Hello!  After I had finished my layout for the LGS birthday blog hop I still had my Dear Lizzy Neapolitan hoarded goodies out on my craft table, so I decided to make another layout in an attempt to use up some of my stash.  I've been reading Ashli Oliver's blog for some time now, you may know her as SoapHOUSEmama.  She is so inspirational as she is all about mixed media, layering, scrapping her beautiful family, and I love that she is always true to her own style.

So I decided to make this layout, which is inspired by her use of white acrylic paint, layering, and using up your stash.  Its about my daughter and her little obsession with doing our hair.  In this photo Shaun was treated to a hairstyle!

I toned down the busy background with white paint, prepared my layering around my photo, and then decided to use as many stickers from the Neapolitan Sticker book as I could.  I toned them down by painting white acrylic paint.  Although this layout is influenced by Ashli's style, its still definitely still reflective of my own style too.

Thanks for looking!

Bless you
Melissa x
