10 Months (Stuck?! Sketches)

Hello from the last day of 2015!  I can't believe the year is pretty much over and tomorrow is 2016!  I've had some time to scrap lately, so I've been working solidly on Brielle's monthly baby album for the past two days.  I'm using Webster's Pages Sweet Routine collection for the entire album, with some other goodies from my stash.

The first layout is from a sketch at Stuck?! Sketches, and it's Brielle's 10 month page.  I had fun with the printed design already on the page.

And here is the sketch.

And now I have another 5 layouts to share with you from her album.  This first one is 4 Months.  I find primary colours very hard to work with, so the teddy bear in the photo was challenging!

This one is 5 months, and I kept this one very simple because I adore these photos.

This one is 8 months, and it was December so I took these cute photos in front of the Christmas Tree. I used an entire sheet of Crate Paper vellum for the background, and I stitched it onto white cardstock.

This one is 11 Months, and I used the acetate from the Websters Pages baby collection on the top of my page.

And finally, her 1 year photo which I enlarged because I love it so much!  I did the packaging technique and splatters with Heidi Swapp Colourshine.  I was so happy to use that large chipboard floral - I've tried to make it work on so many layouts!

Thanks so getting to this far with me!  I only have a Christmas filler page and the cover page to go and the album will be done.

Open (Stuck?! Sketches)

Hello!  I hope you had a lovely Christmas!  We had an awesome day, starting with Church and then lunch with family.  A few days before Christmas I felt like scrapping a Christmas layout that wasn't December Daily, so I pulled out last years November Hip Kit again, and some photos of Brielle last Christmas opening presents.  A first sketch for December at Stuck?! Sketches was perfect to scrap these photos!

The only item not from the kit is the star paperclip.

I even used a scrap of paper that I had punched with my circle punch, and I actually used on the the cut apart Evalicious tags as a folded over tag!

The gold puffy stickers were the perfect finishing touch!

And here is the sketch.

Two "Girl Cave" Layouts (Clique Kits)

Good evening!  Its Christmas Eve Eve here in New Zealand, or as Sam (8) put it "Adam's Eve"!!  He's a funny guy!  Today I have two more layouts to share that I made with my December Clique Kit "Girl Cave" ~ how perfect is that name!!  The kit features Pink Paislee's Memorandum collection.

The first layout is in my typical style of featuring my favourite patterned paper, which is this gorgeous floral.  The photo is of my oldest two at my friend's wedding in 2014.  Shaun and I were singing as Kelly walked up the aisle and we made them sit on a blanket near us.  They were awesome!  Everything is from the kit except for the doily which is from my stash.  The exclusive card that says "You are exactly where you need to be" was perfect too, because they stayed where they were for the whole service!

My second layout features Sam having a shotput lesson at school athletics day, and I wanted to feature the folders that came as an add on to the kit.  I kept this one quite minimal, because the embellishments that I choose are features in themselves.  Sam loved the large metallic letter, and wanted me to use them on a page about him.  I thought spelling his name out was the best way to use them, because the pack only has one of each letter (and I wouldn't use up too many vowels)!  I was unsure about the glasses, but in the end I decided to use them because Sam wears glasses, and they suit the unconventional "lesson" theme of the layout!

Thanks so much for looking!

One Last Lunch (Lets Get Sketchy)

Hello!  It's time for our third week of December reveal over at Lets Get Sketchy!  December seems to be flying by, and I'm realising it as I've spent some time over the weekend working on my December Daily.

This week we had another amazing sketch by Latetia, and I decided to use my September Hip Kit again (I'm slowly making my way through it).  For this layout I focused on using the Amy Tangerine products with an Instagram photo of food!  This photo is of the last decent lunch out I had before going into hospital the next day to have Brielle.

The sketch showed a cluster behind the photo, but I decided to fussy cut one of the groups of flowers and layered some of it over the photo, including popping the little pink flower up with dimensional adhesive.

For this layout I had my journalling flow on from the title.  I loved using a mix of stickers for my title.

And here is the sketch.

Clique Kits December Blog Share

Hello and welcome from from Sandy's amazing blog!  I'm so happy to be joining in on the blog share this month!  I just love hopping from blog to blog to see what everyone created with their kits!

This month we created with the gorgeous and fun "Girl Cave" kit.

Here is another look at the kit, which featured Pink Paislee's Memorandum collection.

Of course I had to create one layout about being creative, and when I saw the "Create" gold glitter word, I decided to use it to document being on the CK Design Team.  I made a pocket and tucked the acceptance email and my journalling into it.  I printed off the photo of the DT and my own photo to use on my page.

For this next page I decided to focus on the gorgeous red pieces in the kit, and then I selected a photo to match.  This photo is of my friend and I on her wedding day.  I was blessed and honoured to sing as she walked up the aisle and signed the register.  I knew I wanted to create in a grid style, so just added pieces until I was happy!  The gold sequin trim is from my stash, and the die cut flower is from the Clique Kits store, and is by Kesi Art.

Simple Christmas Tags (Artfull Crafts)

Hello!  Today I'm up on the Artfull Crafts blog with three simple tags to share that I made with Shimelle's "Christmas Magic" collection.

I cut all of the tags by hand from papers in the collection that have small repeating patterns.  The first tag is made from a cut apart card layered with a fussy cut wreath.  All embellishments are from the pack that Liz gave us all.  I used foam tape to provide dimension on each of the layers.

For the second tag I fussy cut some of the presents, and then adhered them in two layers with foam tape.  I tucked in a Christmas Tree and the heart.

For the final tag I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and cut it on my Silhouette Cameo.  I added the die cut "Joy", a peg and a gem and some stars.

These tags could be used to dress up gift wrapping, and I'm really happy with how simple they were to make!

December Daily Inside Cover Page (Clique Kits)

Hello! I'm up on the Clique Kits YouTube channel today sharing how I made the inside cover of my December Daily.  I used the Clique into December kit, which features Pink Fresh Studio, and also has October Afternoon and Pretty Little Studio products.  Its a stunning kit that certainly makes documenting the holiday season easy!

I kept my page very simple and really wanted to feature the exclusive cut files.  I used the Poinsettia because it was perfect for our Summer Christmas!

And here is a close up of the cover.

Here is my video.

You can see my kit and plans for my DD daily in the video below.

Thanks for looking!  I'll have more of my album to share as I progress.

Love & Fun (The Crafty Maven Getaway)

Hello!  I was up on the Crafty Maven Getaway YouTube Channel in the weekend for Scraplift Saturday.  I decided to scraplift myself, and choose a really old layout from Azaria's monthly baby album.

As always we had a mood board to work with, and I loved the heart on it so I cut a heart on my Silhouette Cameo with a cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  I was very challenged by the purple, but once again I was surprised to find it working!  Once again I shopped my older stash!  I scrapped two photos of Sam and Azaria from 2012.

I used lots of vellum to soften my layers.

A close up of the heart cut file popped up and layered over a Dear Lizzy Project Life card.

These silver thickers were perfect for my title.

I wrote my journaling on a PL card and tucked it into a glassine bag.

You can see my video in the channel link above.

'Tis The Season (Lets Get Sketchy)

Hello again!  I'm back with my take on the latest sketch reveal over at Lets Get Sketchy.  This week we had an awesome sketch by our wonderful leader Brenshevia, and we also had a mood board to work with!

Here is my take on the sketch.  I rotated it to make it work for my portrait orientated photo of the kids in 2012 have a Santa photo at a local family fun day.  I used last years November Hip kit, which I  really struggled to use last year.  I loved that a pink colour was on the mood board, and I personally love pink and red together when the shade is right!

The kit had lots of Elles Studio in it, and I always love her die cut pieces!

I loved the layers of banners in the sketch, and added some extras!

Those thickers are just delicious!!!

I was inspired by Missy Whidden and used thread under some of my embellishments!

Here is the sketch.

And here is the mood board.

Today in the Garden (Clique Kits)

Hello!  I've been busy scrapping up a creative storm!  December is just so busy!!  Yesterday our December Challenge went live over at the Clique Kits Blog, and its "anything goes" which means create to your heart's content!

I made my first layout using the CK December Kit "Girl Cave" featuring Pink Paislee's "Memorandum" collection.  This collection is just amazing, and contains lots of stationary inspired features!

I decided to scrap two photos of Brielle in the garden long after I'd finished.  I was totally inspired by the packaging on the Prima paper clips that are an add-on to the kit!  I started my letting yellow water colour to drip down my paper, then I toned it down with white acrylic paint.  Then I made two pockets from patterned paper to tuck the photos and doily into.  The photos are backed by one of the Memorandum Mini Files, and I cut the backing off to just use the tabbed piece.  I fussy cut out the "today" and used it for my title - it was gold foil and couldn't be hidden!

Here is a photo of the packaging that inspired my design.

And here is a look at the Girl Cave kit.

Make sure you link up your creations, because you could win products from Evalicious!!!

Have a lovely week, I'll be back really soon!

I really got into my creative ZONE when I was making this layout!  I loved all the Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine products in this kit!  The enamel hearts are so super cute!

I loved using the large cork Thickers for my title, they provided the perfect contrast to the blues and greens on my page.

I added a small central cluster of embellishments for interest!

Memories (Artfull Crafts)

Hello again! I forgot that I have another layout to share with you that I made with Shimelle's "Christmas Magic" collection.  For this layout I decided I really wanted to feature some of the beautiful papers, and I choose a photo of Azaria decorating the tree.

I started with the text paper, and then built my layers.  The wreath paper is so pretty, and I had to feature a piece of it.

The Merry & Bright card is a cut apart from the collection.  I added in some older Maggie Holmes glitter phrase thickers.

Lovely layers, and a bauble decoration button.  The black words and phrases are from Kaisercraft's "Holly Jolly" collection, and they provided the perfect finishing touch!

The gold doily is by Studio Calico and is from my stash.  The blue tag at the top is from the embellishment pack that I got from Liz.

I made a process video, and you can watch it below.

You can purchase the Christmas Magic collection in the shop here.
